At a Loss
By Pastor Dennis Felder
In trying to write this article, I am at a loss as to what to say.
For days, I have struggled on what great wisdom I could share with you.
However, each time I placed my fingers upon the keyboard, my mind went blank.
After much frustration, I realized that I am at a loss.
So, I took some needed time to search my heart and pray to God.
Then suddenly, the Lord confirmed my mindset that I was truly at a loss.
You see, I am at a loss as to why Jesus loves me unconditionally.
I am at a loss as to why He graciously forgives me when I do not deserve it.
I am at a loss as to why He wants to spend time with me.
I am at a loss as to why He would take on my punishment.
I am at a loss as to why He made such a great sacrifice for me.
Yes, I am at a loss as to why my Savior has done all these wonderful things for me that I am not deserving of.
Although I am at a loss, I am also exceedingly grateful.

During the process of struggling to write this article, God reminded me of who He really is.
Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Let that sink in for a moment. God did not have to act on our behalf, but He did.
God did not have to save us from the curse of sin, but He did.
He did it not for His benefit, but for ours.
Therefore, I will serve Him with complete gratitude.
I will love Him with every fiber of my being.
I will praise Him with every inch of my soul.
I will worship Him for all eternity.
Yes, I may still be at a loss as to why Christ did all this for me,
but I am certainly grateful that He did.
