Our Mission: Impacting the Kingdom of God one person at a time
USBC Sermon Schedule for the month
By Pastor Dennis Felder

September 2
Sermon Title: “Do You Hear What I Hear?”
Scripture: Matthew 19:16-22
Synopsis: Two people can listen to the same conversation, but hear two totally different things. This is true with our spiritual hearing. This message will deal with a prosperous young man trying to find direction in life. He quickly learns that genuine hearing is tied to your heart.

September 9
Special Event: Community Worship Service
Location: Damascus Community Fair

September 16
Sermon Title: “Touch the Heart of Jesus”
Scripture: Luke 21:1-4
Synopsis: There are somethings in life that we are told not to touch (examples: wet paint or a hot stove). However, there is one thing that is always encouraged to touch and that is the heart of Jesus. This message will deal with how we can touch the heart of God and it starts with giving.

September 23
Sermon Title: “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights”
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 10:18
Synopsis: When laziness rules our life, we lose. Lazy is not only a physical flaw, but it can also be a spiritual flaw. This message will deal with how laziness negatively impacts all areas of a Christian’s life. Once laziness takes hold, our commitment to Christ is easily destroyed.

September 30
Sermon Title: “Your Worst Nightmare”
Scripture: Galatians 5:16-18
Synopsis: No one wants to have a nightmare because they are terrifying and frightening. How we live our life can bring upon us unexpected nightmares. We can create personal nightmares in our life because of our choices and decisions. This message will teach us how to avoid the nightmares of life by resisting the temptations of this world.
