Our Mission: Impacting the Kingdom of God one person at a time
USBC Sermon Schedule for the month
October 7, 2018
Sermon Title: “How To Be Like Jesus”
Scripture: Matthew 9:35-38
Synopsis: There are many people that we often imitate, but there is one who stands above all others and that is Jesus. If you want to be like Jesus, then meet the needs of others. If you want to be like Jesus, then have compassion for others. If you want to be like Jesus, then be part of the harvest.

Sermon Title: “Leaving Your First Love”
Scripture: Revelation 2:1-4
Synopsis: When a person distances themselves from the one that they love, heartache sets in for both. Jesus brings this charge against the church. A church can easily find itself doing the work of the Lord, but not loving the Lord. When this happens, Jesus tells us that we have left our first love.

 October 21, 2018
Sermon Title: “A Silly Putty Christian”
Scripture: Jeremiah 18:6
Synopsis: For generations, the playful toy Silly Putty has captivated the attention of both children and adults. There are some very unique characteristics that Silly Putty possesses that can easily be used to describe the life of a Christian. This sermon will be an interactive and hands-on object lesson as each person will be given a ball of Silly Putty to use during the sermon.

 October 28, 2018
Sermon Title: “Who Will Go for Us?”
Scripture: Isaiah 6:8
Synopsis: We all have a special calling to serve the Lord. Although our call for service is real, there often can a reluctance to follow through with it. To help us be obedient to such a worthy calling, it benefits us to understand how God gifted us to accomplish the task at hand. When we are passionate about our call and understand how God makes a way, the natural response is to go and serve.
