Have you ever been startled before?

This feeling or sensation occurs when someone or something catches you completely off guard.

When this unexpected encounter happens, some people jump and others may scream.

We all respond with certain reactions.

This Sunday (12-14-25), I will be sharing a Christmas message entitled,

“He Is Lord” and it will focus on Luke 2:10-17.

In this Christmas event, there were shepherds abiding in the fields, when suddenly a heavenly angel appeared.

The Bible tells us that the shepherds were “terrified.”

Now that is a classic case of being startled.

However, the reassuring angel helped overcome the shepherd’s anxieties by proclaiming great news that the Lord would soon be born.

What a wonderful and exhilarating message that was shared with these shepherds.

The LORD is coming!

So, join us this Sunday, as we better understand what the Lordship of Jesus meant to the shepherds and what it means for us today.
