Our Mission: Impacting the Kingdom of God one person at a time
 USBC Sermon Series
Sermons by Pastor Dennis Felder
(unless specified)

In October, I will be sharing a variety of sermons to help strengthen and to help encourage us as we face daily challenges in life.

Oct. 6th
Sermon Title: “Which Soil Am I in?”
Scripture: Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
Synopsis: Jesus shared clearly in the parable of the soils that there is only one soil you want to be on. As Jesus followers, we want to be on the fruitful and good soil but honestly, we better identify with the thorns. We will look at how this isn’t just a “next best” option for life, but rather that the two soils are the difference between death and life for you and generations to come.

Oct. 13th
Sermon Title: “Bloody Ankles”
Scripture: Acts 26:14-18
Synopsis: As a Christian it is easy to get off course. However, God has a way of getting our attention and putting us back on the right path. Symbolically, God used a goad to correct Paul’s life. A goad is a sharp stick used to prod the animal in the right direction. If you kick hard enough against the goad, it can draw blood. Today, we also kick against the will of God and we have the scars to prove it.

Oct. 20th
Special Service: “There’s Joy in the House”
Scripture: Psalm 122:1
Synopsis: There is a sense of joy and excitement that fills our hearts when we enter the house of the Lord. This joy is not just a fleeting emotion, but a deep and abiding sense of gratefulness and fulfillment that comes from being in God’s presence.

Oct. 27th
Sermon Title: “God Smiled at Me”
Scripture: Genesis 6:9-22
Synopsis: God has emotions; He weeps, He laughs, and He smiles. He smiles because of us. The God of heaven and of earth, smiled at Noah because of his obedience and God will smile at us when we are obedient to Him.
