A Man Named Dog

Can you name a famous dog?  There are plenty that come to mind; Scooby Doo, Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, and the list goes on.  However, there is a famous "dog" in the Bible.  He is not a four-legged furry friend, but a human.  Can you name him?

This Sunday (8-20-17), I will be sharing a unique message entitled, “A Man Named Dog” and it will focus on Joshua 14:6-12.  In this study, we will be discussing the life of Caleb.  Caleb in Hebrew literally means, DOG!  Caleb (the Dog) was tenacious in his obedience and commitment to his Master.  In all of life’s ups and downs, he faithfully listened to his Master, he always trusted his Master, and he was willing to fight for his Master even if it meant death.

I want to invite you to worship with us this Sunday as we also learn how to be obedient to our Master, Jesus Christ.  You see, a dog has a unique disposition in how they love their master and how they remain faithful to their master.  We too will learn how to live out these special qualities of behavior as we express our love and faithfulness to our Master and Savior.
