Sunday's Message

Date: Sunday, August 21, 2022
Time: 11:00 AM -
Location: USBC Sanctuary

Have you ever been sitting alone, in a quiet place, and suddenly the silence is broken when you hear someone calling your name?
As you look around, you see no one, but you have no doubt that you heard your name.  What do you do in this situation?
Do you ignore it or do you start your search to discover who called you?

This Sunday (8-21-22), I will be sharing the third message in the 4-part Sermon Series (Blast from the Past) entitled, “Responding to God’s Call” and it will focus on Isaiah 6:5-11.

Isaiah 6:8 is my very favorite passage in the Bible.
God issued a direct call to Isaiah by saying, “Whom shall I send!” and Isaiah passionately responded, “Here am I.  Send me!”
I also, answered God’s call.

Honestly though, living out this calling has been difficult and trying at times.
My journey to fulfill this calling has not been perfect, but it has always been rewarding.
I have learned that if you do not answer God’s calling, then your life will feel empty and without purpose.

So, join us Sunday as we all learn how to answer God’s call.

Pastor Dennis
